Technical field
The present invention concerns a line change device for automatic horizontal forming machine and flexible packaging liner comprising mobile supports in which respective clamps are installed that grip a group of flexible packages located in a first line and move them up to a second line higher than the first separating them from each other.
Background of the invention
Automatic horizontal forming and packaging machine machines are known which essentially comprise a band supply section that supplies a heat-sealable flexible sheet band from a coil, a packaging forming section that forms individual flexible packages from said sheet band flexible, a filling section that fills the individual flexible containers with one or more products, and a closing section that closes the filled flexible containers and delivers them to an outgoing conveyor.
In the packaging formation section, a continuous strip of flexible packages is moved in a forward direction in a first horizontal line to a cutting station where the flexible packages are individualized by cutting. Exhibition of the invention
The present invention aims to solve or mitigate the foregoing and other inconveniences by providing a line change device for automatic horizontal forming machine and flexible packaging liner, comprising a plurality of driven clamps to move between an open position and a closed position, and installed on respective guided and driven mobile supports to move between a receiving position and a delivery position.
In said receiving position, said tongs are arranged to grip a group of flexible packages located on a first line in a packaging section of the machine, and in said delivery position the tongs are arranged to release said group of packages. flexible in a second line in a container filling section of the machine, where the second line is at a higher level than said first line and the flexible packages are more separated from each other in the second line than in the first line. The movable supports are coupled to horizontal guides so that they can slide freely along them. Preferably, the line change device of the present invention includes regulating means that allow regulating the inclination of each of the linear cams, which in turn regulates the differences between the separation distances between the clamps in the lower position and the separation distances between the clamps in the upper position.
In a particular embodiment, said regulation means comprise elongated holes formed in a fixed support fixed to said bed and fixing screws used to fix the linear cams to said fixed support. Said fixing screws are inserted through said elongated holes and through holes formed in the linear cams and screwed into corresponding nuts. Thus, by loosening said nuts, fixing screws can run along the elongated holes to modify the inclination of the linear cams, and by tightening the nuts the linear cams are fixed in the desired positions.
The number of clamps installed in the line change device of the present invention is variable, although four is a usual number of clamps. In a particular embodiment including four clamps, the four clamps are installed on four respective movable supports and the lifting carriage carries two of said horizontal guides fixed thereto.
Two of the movable brackets are coupled to one of the horizontal guides by means of respective guide slides and the other two movable brackets are coupled to the other of the horizontal guides by respective guide slides so that the guide slides are not hindered each.
Preferably, the lifting carriage has arms that support the horizontal guides in front of the fixed support in which the linear cams are fixed, and the mobile supports are inserted through a gap between the two horizontal guides. In such a case, the movable supports have outer portions located in front of the horizontal guides where the clamps are supported, inner portions located between the horizontal guides and the fixed support where the cam followers are supported.

Detailed description of an embodiment example
Referring first to Figs. 1 to 4, there is shown a line change device for automatic horizontal forming machine and flexible packaging liner according to an embodiment of the present invention, in which it comprises a fixed support 10 fixed to a bench 6 of the machine by a support structure 16 and an elevator car 7 guided and driven by an actuator (not shown) to move vertically in relation to said bed 6 between a lower position and an upper position.
In the aforementioned fixed support 10 four linear cams 5 are fixed (better shown in Fig. 4). These linear cams 5 are inclined in divergent directions and have their upper ends more separated from each other than their lower ends. The upper end of each linear cam 5 is connected to the fixed support by a corresponding fixing screw 13 and the fixed support 10 has elongated holes 11 over which lower ends of the linear cams are superimposed 5. Through said holes elongated 11 and holes formed in the linear cams 5 are inserted fixing screws 12 screwed in respective nuts 14. By loosening the fixing screws 12, 13 it is possible to adjust the inclination of each of the linear cams 5. Tightening of again the fixing screws 12, 13 can be fixed linear cams 5 to the fixed support 10 with selected inclinations.
Said lifting carriage 7 has arms 9 that support two horizontal guides 3 in front of the fixed support 10 and the linear cams 5 fixed thereto. The two horizontal guides 3 are mutually spaced apart by a gap.
Four movable brackets 2 are inserted through said gap between the two horizontal guides 3. Two of said movable brackets 2 are coupled by respective guide slides 8 to one of the two horizontal guides 3 so that they can slide freely to the length thereof and the other two movable supports 2 are coupled by respective guide slides 8 to the other of the two horizontal guides 3 so that they can slide freely along it.
Each of the movable supports 2 has an outer portion located in front of the horizontal guides 3 and an inner portion located between the horizontal guides 3 and the fixed support 10. The line change device includes four clamps 1, each fixed at the outer portion of one of the movable supports 2. Each clamp 1 comprises a pair of jaws 1a, 1b (Fig. 3) actuated by an actuator 15 to move between an open position (shown in solid lines in Fig. 3) Y a closed position (shown in dashed lines in Fig. 3). In the inner portion of each mobile support 2 a cam follower 4 (better shown in Fig. 4) is attached coupled to one of the linear cams 5.
In relation now to Figs. 5 and 6 the operation of the line change device of the present invention is described.
As shown in Fig. 5, the flexible packages E in the form of a continuous strip of flexible packages moved in a horizontal forward direction on a first line L 1 arrive at a cutting station (not shown) located below the line change device. Then the lifting carriage 7 is driven downwards to be placed in a lower position, whereby the movable supports 2 are placed in a receiving position and the clamps 1 are arranged to grab the first four flexible containers E of the continuous strip .
In this lower position (Fig. 5), the clamps 1 are driven to the closed position and grab the flexible containers E. While the flexible containers E are seized the cutting station cuts the continuous strip to individualize the first four flexible containers E, and then, the lift carriage 7 is driven upwards until it is arranged in an upper position (Fig. 6) corresponding to a second line L2.
During the movement of the lift carriage 7 from the lower position (Fig. 5) to the upper position (Fig. 6), the cam followers 4 move along their corresponding linear cams 5 and due to their inclination they force the movable supports 2 and the clamps 1 installed therein to move along the horizontal guides 3, whereby the clamps 1, which carry respective flexible containers E, separate from each other at the same time they rise up. Therefore, the second line L2 which is at a higher level than the first line L 1 and in the second line L2 the flexible containers E are more separated from each other than in the first line L 1.
In the upper position shown in Fig. 6, the movable supports 2 are in a delivery position and the clamps 1 are actuated to the open position to release the four flexible containers E. In this position, the flexible containers E are transferred to a conveyor device (not shown) that will move the flexible containers E along the second line L2 in a container filling section of the machine.
When the lifting carriage 7 is then moved from the upper position (Fig. 6) to the lower position (Fig. 5), the cam followers 4 in cooperation with the linear cams 5 force the movable supports 2 and the clamps 1 to move along the horizontal guides 3 to get closer to each other.
Thus, the line change device of the present invention comprises a simple and reliable mechanism, has regulation means (elongated holes 11 and fixing screws 12) to regulate the increase in separation between the flexible packages E in the second line L2 with respect to the first line L 1, Y is driven by a single actuator (drive of the lift car 7).

1.-Line change device for automatic horizontal forming and filling machine for flexible containers, comprising a plurality of clamps (1) actuated to move between an open position and a closed position, and installed on respective guided movable supports (2) and actuated to move between a receiving position, in which said tweezers (1) are arranged to grip a group of flexible packages (E) located on a first line (L 1) in a container forming section of the machine, and a delivery position, in which the clamps (1) are arranged to release said group of flexible packages in a second line (L2) in a container filling section of the machine, where said second line (L2) is at a level higher than said first line (L 1) and where the flexible packages (E) are more separated from each other in the second line (L2) than in the first line (L1), characterized in that said supports m viles (2) are coupled to horizontal guides (3) so that they can slide freely along them, each of the movable supports (2) has a cam follower (4) coupled to a corresponding linear cam ( 5) of a plurality of divergent linear cams (5) fixed to a machine bed (6), said linear cams (5) having their upper ends more separated from each other than their lower ends, and said horizontal guides (3) are fixed to a lifting carriage (7) guided and driven to move vertically in relation to said bed (6) between a lower position corresponding to said first line (L 1) and an upper position corresponding to said second line (L2).
